Household Drama Overview

Household Drama Overview.                                   By: Shotty Mills                                                            My song “Household Drama” is my most heartfelt song of my album “Show and Tell”. This song reflects the pains, and horrors I encountered growing up in my hometown. In all this is definitely one of my favourite songs, I have recorded to date. To me this song stands out to serve, as example of a humble beginning. For instance, how one can come from nothing in their life to create something. This song has connections with my upcoming book “Shoot your Shot: Land Amongst the Stars”. In this book, I explain more in depth the struggles that I circled around growing up. In one of my lines in “Household Drama”, I exhibited “And it all collapsed into constant distress”. This constant distress indicates how it seemed like everything seemed to crush to me. But when the constant distress crushed me, I knew it could either make me or break me.                                                             Within my household, I expressed this distress when I stated “Below the basement feeling like am evicted vacant”. The significance behind this line is that no matter what happened. Everything seemed to put me down into the basement, in which I was trying to escape from. It was agonizing and baffling encountering this, but all this shaped me into who I am today. Today now, I walk this world in peace knowing that nothing will ever destroy me. Despite, the horrid situations, I know I will be resilient and overcome the tidal waves.
