Making Some Rap Beats

Making Some Rap Beats.                                          By: Shotty Mills                                                         I’m starting to learn the just of working with different drum lines and learning varying instruments. I have never played or learned an instrument within the scope of my life. But I find it interesting how one puzzles together rap beats. In a way, it is a whole other art form that has to be mastered. The composition of using snares, hi-hats, kick drums and etc. It really fascinated me in numerous ways. As a creative artist, I find this as my forte. Although, it does take a significant amount of work. It’s not out of reach for you to learn it. That’s what I have learned with anything that I have learned over the years. You don’t have to have to be a master it when you first start it. But in order to truly be great at what you do, you need to establish yourself first. So far, I have been working with different plugins to use and experimenting with the different sounds.                                                       I will continue to perfect my craft in making beats. But it’s definitely a work in progress and I know that I will make great beats! Right now, I continue to study other art forms of music. Sometimes rather than listening closely to the music. Now, that I’m starting to get a taste of producing side of things. I closely monitor the drum patterns, where the snare hits and etc. Making beats is a vast industry and there is a theory you can find behind it. However, as long as you follow your heart, just know you are staying true to making beats! That’s what I always tell myself now!
