 How Do You Define Hip Hop as a Genre?

In regards to hip hop as a genre. Hip hop is a worldwide known genre to many, and it has influenced the lives of many also around the world. The world of hip hop continually does evolve, and the impact of how artists grow with the genre of hip hop is astounding. And hip hop as an overall culture is very diverse with the amount of sub genres that have developed from hip hop in general. The hip hop industry consists of numerous artists. And the way that hip hop has evolved has allowed more growth within the industry to happen. Even with the early days of Daddy Kane and other hip hop known figures. Hip hop has grown itself into a known genre worldwide. And this allowed for new subgenres to be created within their own particular form. The true definition of hip hop is found from the soul. And I'd say the greatest advice, I have ever been given is to follow your passion for hip hop. And speak from your soul, because when you speak from your soul, you are speaking from your higher self: your true greatness. When greatness knocks on your door, just remember that greatness isn't something that comes with ease. It comes with continuous sacrifice, and a sough after drive to pursue your dreams.  

Shotty Mills himself has molded himself well into hip hop as a genre now. As it seems when you make hip hop it almost seems you are your own genre. In other words, you are creating your own style and music. And when you create your own your own genre within yourself. This is then will lead for a new form of rap to be born, and originality will pour right through you. How are you involved within the hip hop industry actively? And how do you define hip hop as a genre? Keep on writing and creating to find your waveform everybody.
